Fatkha — Omani Women's Day Special Edition

The old silver fatkha and spiked bangles, moving through waves of colour. These are the hands that built homes, raised generations and carried the weight of every day, still adorned and still strong. Artist's note: I keep coming back to the hands of Omani women. They work, they give, they hold everything together, and they never took off their silver while doing it. The fatkha was passed from mother to daughter, worn through every season of a woman's life. This piece is for those hands: strength and beauty, never one without the other.
